Adelina Arancibia - ManagerMy career in travel began over 30 years ago, when I took up a chance opportunity in the airline industry, after all this time I am still captivated by the scope and diversity of the travel industry. My love of travel has given me so many wonderful experiences throughout Europe, Asia, the USA and South America, that I am passionate about sharing them with my clients. The exotic and rich cultures of Turkey and Italy are a highlight for me. Our specialist onsite agents Insight Tours provide a fantastic guided tour of Turkey. I recommend to all my clients to visit ‘The Grand Bazaar’ where you can indulge in some retail therapy and find intricate and unique treasures. Turkey was quite unlike anything I had experienced before and I hope to visit East Turkey soon. Growing up in Chile and spending a large part of my life overseas probably gave me wandering feet from an early age. At school I learnt about the art of the great masters Rembrandt, Michelangelo and Leonardo de Vinci. To visit the Mecca of art in Europe at the Louvre, The Uffizi and the Vatican and see first hand the sublime perfection of these masterpieces for me was so life changing, that I recently took my Grandson to Europe to share what I believe everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. I would recommend a private viewing in the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums away from the crowds, it is a personal touch that enhances your viewing. It is the little touches I think that make all the difference to my customers and I believe a good Travel Consultant keeps their clients in mind until they arrive home safely from their trip. I was relieved to be the first to get in touch with two of my clients that were in New York on September 11th. On their return they said they were comforted to know that they had someone at home making all the arrangements for their flight home. I know if it was me I would have wanted to know that amid the confusion someone was getting me home safely too. Planning is only part of being a good Travel Consultant, it is the occasional contact while clients are away to ensure that everything is running smoothly, that makes a big difference and puts a client at ease. Having someone ‘on the ground’ at home with the necessary advice, experience and contacts saves a lot of hassle if anything out of the ordinary should happen and that provides a lot of peace of mind. |
